Symptoms of disease - violation of the motor
Motor disturbances can occur both at the Central and at the peripheral damage to the nervous system. Motor disturbances can occur both at the Central and at the peripheral damage to the nervous system.
Terminology
- Paralysis - mobility impairments, arising out of pathology innervation of the relevant muscles and is characterized by the complete absence of arbitrary movements.
- Palsy - mobility impairments, arising out of pathology innervation of the relevant muscles and characterized by the decrease of force and/or amplitude of arbitrary motion.
- Monoplegia and monoparesis - paralysis or paresis of muscles of a limb.
- Hemiplegia or hemiparesis - paralysis and paresis of both extremities, and sometimes the person on the one side of the body.
- Paraplegia (paraparesis) - paralysis (paresis) both extremities (either the upper or lower).
- Quadriplegia or quadriparesis (also tetraparesis)- paralysis or paresis of all four limbs.
- Gipertonus - increase muscle tone. There are 2 types:
- Muscle spasticity, or a classic piramydny paralysis, - increase of a tone of muscles (mostly hand flexors and extensors of the feet), characterized by non-uniformity of their resistance in different phases of the passive movement, occurs when the defeat of pyramidal system
- Extrapyramidal rigidity - diffuse uniform wax-like increase of muscle tonus, equally expressed in all phases of active and passive movements (affects the muscles of agonists and antagonists), caused by defeat of symptomatic of the system.
- Hypotonia (muscle weakness) - reduction in muscle tone, characterized by excessive their compliance with the passive movements; usually associated with lesions of the peripheral motor neuron.
- Paratoniya - the inability of some patients to the full relaxation of muscles, despite the instructions of the doctor. In milder cases of watching rigidity with the rapid passive movement of the limbs and normal tone in slow motion.
- Areflexia - the absence of one or several reflexes caused by the violation of the integrity of a reflex arc or retarding influence of the higher parts of the nervous system.
- Hyperreflexia - improved segmental reflexes due to the weakening of the inhibiting influence of the cerebral cortex in the segmental reflex machine; occurs, for example, the defeat of the pyramidal tract.
- Pathological reflexes - a General name reflexes, which are found in the adult human in the defeat of the pyramidal tract (in children of early age such reflexes considered normal).
- Clonus - an extreme degree of increase of tendon reflexes, manifested by a series of rapid rhythmic contractions of muscles or groups of muscles, for example, in response to their single stretch.
The most common form of propulsion are paralysis and paresis - the loss or weakening of movements due to violation of the motor functions of the nervous system. The muscle paralysis of one side of the body is called hemiplegia, both the upper or lower limbs - paraplegia, all the limbs - tetraplegic. Depending on the pathogenesis of paralysis tone of the affected muscles can be either lost (flaccid paralysis) or increased (spastic paralysis). In addition, there are paralysis peripheral (if it is associated with damage to the peripheral motoneuron) and Central (as a result of the defeat of the Central motor neurons).
Which diseases there is violation of the motor
Causes of propulsion
- Spasticity - the defeat of the Central motoneuron throughout its duration (cerebral cortex, subcortical education, part of the stem of the brain, spinal cord), for example, in stroke with the involvement of the motor area of a bark of the big hemispheres or corti-spinal tract
- Rigidity is evidence of dysfunction symptomatic of the system and is caused by damage to the basal nuclei: medial part of the pallidus and substantia (for example, in parkinsonizme because)
- Hypotension occurs when the primary muscle diseases, lesions of the cerebellum and some extrapiramidale disorders (Huntington's disease), as well as in the acute phase of pyramidal syndrome
- The phenomenon of paratonia characteristic lesions of the frontal lobe or diffuse the cortical lesions
- Coordination of the motor activity might be hampered by the weakness of the muscles, sensitive disorders or destruction of the cerebellum
- Reflexes reduced the impact of lower motoneuron (cells of the front horns spinal roots, the motor nerves) and amplified in the defeat of the upper motoneuron (at any level above the front horns, except for basal gangliev).
Which doctor should I contact if there is a violation of the motor
- Neurologist
- Neurosurgeon
Are you experiencing violation of the motor? You want to know more detailed information, or you need an inspection? Please sign up on reception to the doctor! Doctors will examine you, examine the external signs and help to determine the disease the symptoms, they will consult you and provide the necessary assistance. You can also call the doctor on the house.
Do you feel disrupted motor? You should be very careful approach to your health in general. People pay not enough attention to the symptoms of the disease and don't realize that these diseases can be critically dangerous. There are many diseases that in the beginning didn't manifest in our body, but in the end it turns out, unfortunately, it have already been treated too late. Every disease has its own specific features typical symptoms - called symptoms of the disease. Definition of symptoms is the first step in the diagnosis of diseases in general. You just need a few times a year to be screened by a doctor, not only to prevent a terrible disease, but also to maintain a healthy spirit in a body and the organism in general.
